Spray Foam Insulation
There are 2 main types of spray foam:
1. Open Cell Foam:
Softer and less dense, providing excellent sound insulation and flexibility.
2. Closed Cell Foam:
Denser and offers greater resistance to moisture and air infiltration.
This expanding foam fills gaps and creates an airtight seal in walls, ceilings, and structures, improving insulation and reducing energy loss. Spray foam insulation enhances energy efficiency, indoor air quality, noise reduction, and structural integrity, making it a top choice for both residential and commercial properties.
Injection Foam Insulation
Injection foam insulation is injected directly into wall cavities.
The expanding foam fills gaps and voids, providing thermal insulation, soundproofing, and moisture resistance. It’s a cost-effective way to upgrade insulation without major renovation, improving energy efficiency and comfort.
Fiberglass Insulation
Made from glass fibers and traps air to slow heat transfer.
Installation typically involves placing fiberglass batts between wall studs, floor joists, or ceiling rafters. It’s also commonly used in attics and crawl spaces. It’s affordable, easy to install, and fire-resistant. However, while it offers good thermal performance and moisture resistance, it can irritate skin and requires careful installation.
Mineral Wool Insulation
Made from natural or synthetic minerals, and offers excellent thermal insulation.
Fire-resistant, moisture-resistant, and resistant to pests and mold. Commonly used in walls, ceilings, and floors, it provides durable performance and soundproofing from floor to floor. Denser and heavier than fiberglass, which may affect handling and installation in some cases.
